Take Skills

Map the abilities you want to master, log focused practice, and watch your progress unfold — a quiet iOS companion for people who prefer steady effort over noisy streaks

Privacy Policy

Take Skills stores your skill paths and session notes on your device. This page describes what the app may access locally, what stays on your phone, and how data tied to this website is handled.

Effective date · July 3, 2026

What this policy covers

This document applies to the Take Skills iOS application available through the app store and the informational pages hosted on this domain. It covers anyone who installs the app or reads content here.

Information the app uses

Take Skills does not require your legal name, email, phone number, home address, government ID, or payment details to work.

Skill paths you define, sessions you record, and notes you attach remain on your phone. Your learning history is not uploaded to our servers for analytics, profiling, or resale.

When the app loads shared content — onboarding screens, skill templates, practice tips — it may request public endpoints on this site. Those responses contain generic copy only; nothing from your private logs is ever sent back.

Device permissions

Take Skills may request notification access so you can receive reminders for practice blocks or review prompts you chose to enable.

Photo library access appears only when you attach an image to a skill note or save a reference card. Microphone, contacts, and precise location are not requested unless a future version clearly needs them and this policy is updated accordingly.

Basic storage and network permissions let the app run and fetch optional template updates. Crash reports routed through the platform store follow that store's own privacy rules.

Third-party services

Hosting infrastructure keeps this policy page and public API routes available. Providers may retain server logs for security and uptime under their separate privacy terms.

If we add analytics or support tools later, each partner will be named here and data sharing will be limited to what they need to operate.

Age requirement

Take Skills is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal details from children. If a minor entered data by mistake, contact us through the app store support channel and we will help with removal where possible.

Retention and security

Your skill paths, session logs, and notes stay under your control on your device. Delete individual entries inside the app or uninstall to clear local storage entirely.

We apply reasonable safeguards to pages and server-side components we operate. No system is perfectly secure — treat deeply personal reflections with the same care you would a private journal.

Your choices

You may stop using Take Skills at any time. Disable notifications or revoke optional permissions in iOS Settings for a quieter experience.

To request access, correction, or deletion of information we handle directly, use the developer contact listed on the app store page.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this text as Take Skills evolves or as legal requirements shift. The date above marks the latest meaningful update. Continued use after a revision means you accept the updated version where permitted by law.
